Despite her husband?s lagging approval numbers, Americans still have a high opinion of first lady Michelle Obama, a poll suggests.
Nearly two-thirds ? 63 percent ? of registered voters nationally have a positive impression of the first lady, according to a Marist Poll.

A vast majority of Democrats ? 85 percent view her favorably, as do 42 percent of Republicans.
Michelle Obama?s approval ratings have remained relatively stable since the question was last asked in May. At the time, 66 percent thought positively of the first lady, while 17 percent thought negatively about her.
The Marist poll, conducted Sept. 13-14, 2011, includes a sample of 1,042 adults and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.
