All India Junior Ranking Tournament: Harsheel Dani beats Aditya Joshi to claim Boy?s Singles title

India?s talented young player Harsheel Dani claimed Boy?s Singles U19 title after proving his worth in the final battle when he overpowered his compatriot Aditya Joshi at the All India Junior Ranking Tournament 2012 on Monday, August 6, in India.

The in-form Harsheel, who was seeded at number eight in Boy?s Singles U19 draw, had to dig into his arsenal to prove his worth against his fifth seeded opponent Aditya and he remained successful in ending up the fight after working extra hard.

The lower ranked Harsheel could not win the opening game but he made the score levelled by taking the following set. However, he remained successful in putting up a wonderful show in the final set and won the match in three games.

On the other hand, Aditya played attacking badminton in opening set of the match and took it. However, he failed to stop the comeback of his rival in the following games and lost the match in rubber sets with a reasonable margin on the score board.

In the first game, the eighth seeded Harsheel played well and remained close to his rival until the one-minute break.

After the mid-game interval, Harsheel failed to stop the progress of Aditya and remained trailing behind on score board. At the ending stage, he played a few wrong shots and lost the game with a 19-21 score on the board.

In the second game, both shuttlers again played positive badminton while remaining focused on court. They played with precision and remained close until the break.

After the mid-game interval, Harsheel continued playing positive badminton and he showed his brilliance at the ending stage to wrap up the game with a 21-19 margin on the board.

In the final set, Harsheel remained in commanding position from the opening half as he played positive badminton while keeping the pace of rallies at the maximum level.

After the mid-game break, Harsheel continued his power play and eventually took the set with a comfortable 21-15 margin on the board.

The impressive Harsheel emerged as the title winner as he ended up the final match with a close margin of 19-21, 21-19 and 21-15.
