It was all thrills and surprises at this year?s edition of MTN 4 Syte Music Video Awards at the Accra International Conference Centre, as the sensational Vision In Progress (VIP)? picked two awards- ?Best Group Video? and ?Best Edited Video? with ?Pampanaa?.
The event held last Saturday, November 17, was organized by 4 Syte to reward Ghanaian musicians for their commitment, hard work and dedication in the music career.
It attracted a large number of showbiz personalities including music fans from all walks of life.
It was a night of musical fireworks as some of the awardees and other artistes took turns to dish out splendid acts that got the audience dancing, or simply hiking up their seats for a better view of proceedings.
Natural Face, an upcoming artiste, grabbed the Overall Best Video for the year 2011with ?So High?. He also won Best Directed Video, Best Photography, Best Discovery Video and Overall Best Video.
Edem?s ?Ghetto Arise? won the ?Best Reggae Video? award.
Manifest, EL- the man behind the Azonto beats- and Sarkodie picked the ?Best Hip Hop Video?, ?Most Popular Video? and ?Best Hip Life Video? respectively with ?Makaa Makaa?, ?Kaalu? and ?Saa Okodie No?.
Members of VIP spent some time with their fans and took photographs with them at the event.
VIP performed creditably, causing the audience to remain on their feet as it commanded the magnificent state-of-the-art stage.
The group held patrons spellbound with its stagecraft and electrifying dance steps that kept them craving for more all night.
4X4 also mounted the stage a minute after it was introduced to the excited fans. The group was consistent and controlled the crowd. It also delighted music fans with its hit songs.
R2Bees was able to thrill music fans to its satisfaction. The group took everybody by surprise and the whole auditorium hailed it. The group members? attitude on stage was also exceptionally good.
It was a hilarious spectacle as the group treated the excited audience to some serious dance moves on stage.
Keche and Asem also performed at the event and demonstrated their stage craft, singing and dancing skills, which left no doubt in anyone?s mind that they are truly a force to reckon with in the Ghanaian music industry.
